The Album and “How Do I” were nominated for Best Recording and Best Pop Song at San Diego Music Awards 2021 & 2022, respectively. “Southern Winds” earned Best Music Video at Dublin Web Fest. She began her songwriting days in San Diego during college, with three previous albums recorded and produced by Aaron Bowen. She has a large body of work and subcribers on her YouTube Channel, Luieland (29K subs), and continues to explore soundscapes with a cult following. Get ready for a little friendly competition and a fun adventure in Little Italy! We'll be hiding over 100 Easter Eggs all around for you to find while also hunting for historic clues about America's Larges Little Italy! It will be a great way to explore, socialize and have fun with dozens of others. Here is how it works: Check in is at 10 a.m. at Ballast Point Brewing. We'll randomly set people up on teams or you can bring your own team (up to 4 people per team). Each team will be given 75 minutes to find as many of the hidden eggs as possible. You will also be searching for historic clues about Little Italy. Each egg and each clue are worth points. There will also be Mini Kegs & "Bunny Bonus Points"! When the time is up, your team will return to Ballast Point to tally up the scores, socialize, eat and drink. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams. Can I Come Alone? Yes, 90% of those attending will likely be coming on their own. If you come alone we will randomly set you up on teams. (Teams of 4 people) What Else Are We Looking For? Have you ever wondered what happens after you toss yard trimmings and food scraps into your green bin? The organic waste is collected and brought to the Miramar Greenery (located at the Miramar Landfill) where it is turned into compost! This compost is available at no cost to residents of the City of San Diego and can be picked up during normal business hours. To increase opportunities for residents to pick up compost, I Love A Clean San Diego and the City of San Diego are partnering to host Compost Giveaways on select weekends. Get your hands on some nutrient-rich compost for your garden at no cost. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, this event is perfect for anyone looking to give their plants a boost. Swing by and grab some compost to help your garden thrive! Things to bring: - Shovel - Gloves - Containers - Tarp and bungees for truck beds (ALL TRUCK BEDS MUST BE COVERED!) Things to know: - Be prepared to self load compost - All participants are required to sign a release waiver Please be aware, in order to collect compost you are required to sign a waiver. All participants will need to sign a waiver upon entering the event. About the Miramar Greenery: At the Miramar Greenery, compost is made from yard trimmings and food scraps that have been ground, placed in windrows, turned and watered for 70 days. During this time, microorganisms digest the carbon and nitrogen rich mixture, causing the windrow to sustain temperatures of 140-165 F. This process eliminates most weed seeds and pathogens while breaking down the organic material into beneficial soil nutrients. Finished compost is screened to a particle size of one-half inch or less which also removes film plastic from the final product.
