Angela has produced public radio programs focused on the arts for the Atlanta and San Diego markets. In this role, she has covered topics ranging from books, film, theater, music, visual arts and pop culture. She also has more than 15 years experience in print media, having been published in various newspapers, alternative weeklies, and exhibition catalogs. Angela has degrees in political science from Pennsylvania State University and in English literature from Georgia State University. She is also a published photographer.

Last spring, Orchestra Nova San Diego announced the world's first classical music talent competition. The competition includes voting from the Internet community and by members of concert audiences. The orchestra has announced the three finalists from the internet voting and panel judging portion of the competition. Now it's up to live audiences to go and see them perform this weekend with Orchestra Nova to declare the winner. The three finalists join us in studio with Orchestra Nova artistic director and conductor, Jung-Ho Pak.

Pop band OK Go makes another clever music video, this time for the song "This Too Shall Pass" from the album "Of the Blue Colour of the Sky." Shot in a warehouse in L.A.'s Echo Park, the band dances with a massive Rube Goldberg machine, and it's all shot on one long 4-minute take.

The five-piece New Orleans funk bank Galactic has a new CD called "Ya-ka-may" that captures the music of New Orleans. They collaborated with legendary Crescent City musicians like Irma Thomas and Allen Toussaint, as well as new ones, like Bounce artists Big Freedia and Cheeky Black. We'll talk about the new album with members of the band Galactic.

Tijuana-born, New York based draftsman and artist Hugo Crosthwaite is currently drawing on a wall at the San Diego Museum of Art. The 8x10 wall drawing is the centerpiece of an exhibit featuring 11 works by Crosthwaite called "Brutal Beauty."
