The five-year agreement with Ubicquia and Flock Safety must first go to the full city council for approval.

The union said it is possible a 10-day strike notice will be issued Saturday and it could lead to further striking if Kaiser executives and union negotiators can't come to an agreement.

The decreasing prices stem from Gov. Gavin Newsom sending a letter to the California Air Resources Board late last Thursday directing it to allow refineries to begin making and distributing winter-blend gasoline, which is cheaper to produce.

The first property tax installment is due Nov. 1 and becomes delinquent after Dec. 10. The second installment is due Feb. 1, 2024 and becomes delinquent after April 11, 2024.

An estimated 75,000 Kaiser workers were taking part in the strike, according to the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions.

Earlier this month, supervisors unanimously voted to oppose any further placements of sexually violent predators until local jurisdictions are able to fully participate in the placement process, including having full veto authority.
