San Diego Comic-Con will go virtual for the second straight year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers announced Monday.

A man was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of ramming an SUV into a California Highway Patrol vehicle during a pursuit in the Serra Mesa neighborhood, causing minor injuries to a CHP officer and prompting two officers to open fire, police said.

A shortage of vaccines has closed the Petco Park COVID-19 vaccination super station through Tuesday, and San Diego County public health officials also reported 262 new infections and 19 deaths.
