2011 One Book, One San Diego Selection

One Book, One San Diego will feature three books in the 2011-2012 season: Sky of Red Poppies by Zohreh Ghahremani, Moloka'i by Alan Brennert, and Into the Beautiful North by Luis Alberto Urrea.

Author Susan Vreeland’s recent novel "Clara and Mr. Tiffany" (2011) tells the fascinating story of Clara Driscoll, a gifted artist and the creator of leaded-glass Tiffany lamps. In a recent interview, One Book, One San Diego's Linda Salem asked Vreeland about the novel and her own thoughts about writing.

KPBS listeners were no doubt distressed to hear the accusations that the book, "3 Cups Of Tea," by Greg Mortenson and David Relin, featured as our One Book One San Diego in 2008, contained exaggerations and possibly outright lies.
