StoryCorps, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to recording, preserving, and sharing the stories of people from all backgrounds and beliefs, will team up with KPBS as part of its Military Voices Initiative to honor San Diego County’s veteran and military community by recording and preserving their stories.

KPBS set out to hear and document the stories of those of varying ethnicities, ages and economic status about their particular slice of San Diego County and the Imperial Valley. Their stories are told through a social media video series, "Where I Come From."
