Voting Machines Open to Mixed Reviews

Some San Diego County voters say they concerned about irregularities at local polling places today.

Some San Diego County voters say they concerned about irregularities at local polling places today. Gail Jacobson is a member of the group CA-50 Action. That’s the organization that challenged results in the 50th congressional district special election in June. Jacobson says an attorney with her group notice some broken seals on electronic voting machines in Carlsbad. She’s worried that might taint the outcome of some local races.

Jacobson: We have to look and see what is going on what is happened, what are people’s experiences.  However, it sounds, throughout the county today, many people are having problems with these machines.

County election officials say there have been no reports of machines being used with broken seals. Spokesman Mike Workman says paper ballots are available at all polling places. He says some stations did suffer some glitches today, but those incidents were isolated an fixed relatively quickly.
