Working class still struggling to “wage a living”

National housing costs have tripled since 1979, while real wages for low-wage male workers are actually less than there were 30 years ago.  In San Diego, the out-of-sight real estate market and escalating cost of living is shrinking the middle class. Rebecca Tolin reports on the struggles of the working class.

Full Focus airs this package in conjunction with the national PBS special, Waging a Living , airing on P.O.V. Sunday, September 10, at 10:30 p.m. on KPBS Television.
