Tom Fudge: When you think about some of our favorite writers of movie stories, you've got to include a few people who died before movies were invented. Adaptations of Jane Austin novels seem to be quite popular. And William Shakespeare? There have been dozens, if not hundreds, of film adaptations of his plays over the years. The Museum of Photographic Art in Balboa Park is hosting a film series called Shakespeare on Screen . The curator of the series is KPBS's film critic, Beth Accomando. Last week, the museum showed Romeo + Juliet , starring Leonardo diCaprio. This Thursday, it's going to be Richard III , starring Ian Mackellen.
