When I was little, I have a vague memory of being intrigued by the helium-voiced Alvin and the Chipmunks . When the big screen Alvin and the Chipmunks hit theaters last year, the computer generated rodents didn't seem very appealing. But now Alvin and Company have taken on yet another form -- costumed characters performing live on stage and going on tour. So move over Rolling Stones and make way for the singing rodents (who I believe began singing a full year before the Stones formed as a band). Alvin and the Chipmunk's Get Munked 2008 Tour comes to San Diego's Chula Vista Center on Sunday, April 13 for a free one day only appearance. Alvin and his furry co-horts will take the stage for a musical extravaganza designed for kids. Following the stage show there will apparently be a chance for the audience to get involved. A press release promises: "the interactive Chipmunk fan experience will also be highlighted by step-by-step dance lessons for the popular 'Munk Dance' craze, hands-on video game play stations, character photo opps and more, along with special prize giveaways throughout the day!" I guess the Munk Dance craze passed me by (but I think I'm way past the age demo). Free Shows at 12:00pm, 1:30pm and 3:00pm.
The Chula Vista Center is located at 555 Broadway in Chula Vista.

They have stopmed on my childhood T_T first a live action movie and then a show. I remember the gang being as tall as all the other children they were just chipmunks. Not normal lil chipmunks washing themselves in dishwashers. Nothing will ever beat Alvin and the Chipmunks meets the Wolfman on halloween nights...Nothing!
