'Repo! The Genetic Opera Rescheduled for May 29

CORRECTION: My bad. "Repo" was scheduled for tonight at midnight but has been rescheduled for May 29. Sorry! "Repo! The Genetic Opera" returns tonight at midnight at Landmark's Ken Cinema. The film has been called "The Rocky Horror" for a new generation. For an NPR feature I spoke with filmmaker Darren Lynn Bousman in 2008 when the film was first released about whether or not you can engineer a cult hit. You can listen to the feature now.

Here's the original feature.

The story is set in the future when people are obsessed and even addicted to surgery. But if you purchase a new organ and find you can't quite pay for it, a repo man will be sent out to collect the item. If that sounds familiar it is. The recent "Repo Men" had the same underlying plot but used the premise for a different purpose. And it didn't have Paris Hilton.
