San Diego State Students and fans gave the Aztec men's basketball team a sendoff this morning, as the team left to play in the NCAA tournament. The Aztec men play Tennessee in Thursday's first-round game.

The Aztec women also qualified for the tournament. They'll play Texas on Sunday. SDSU women's coach, Beth Burns, is asking San Diegans to banish the Texas and Tennessee team color, orange, from their wardrobes.

"No orange can be out in San Diego County," she said. "If you have it in your closet, you gotta cover it up. You gotta stand on it. You've got to put your red and black on and be an Aztec for the next seven days."

The Aztec men's and women's teams are both seeded 11th in their regional tournament bracket.
