Latest From Director of 'Moon'

Here's the latest trailer for the upcoming thriller "Source Code."

The first teaser I saw for "Source Code" failed to stir my interest. It looked like "Groundhog Day" but without Bill Murray or the laughs. The story, as laid out in the trailer, centers Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) who wakes on a commuter train heading into Chicago. People seem to know him, but he has no idea where – or even who – he is. He meets a woman (Michelle Monaghan) and then the next thing he knows an express train on the opposite track speeds by and a bomb explodes, seemingly killing Colter and all the other passengers. Then he lives through the whole thing again... and again.

There's a new trailer and I have renewed interest because I discovered that the film is directed by Duncan Jones, the man who made "Moon," starring Sam Rockwell. Jones brought the human element back to science fiction with that film so maybe he can do the same for "Source Code," bring humanity to a flashy effects thriller. With a strong cast and Jones (David Bowie's son) at the helm, I'm willing to give this film a more serious look.
