Disembodied John Baldessari Talks Art With Jason Schwartzman
Monday, October 10, 2011
I am quite fond of Jason Schwartzman. This video promoting the Getty's "Pacific Standard Time" initiative is terrific. Schwartzman is strolling down an LA street at night and suddenly begins to see and hear artist John Baldessari on the walls around him. Not such a bad hallucination if you ask me!
The two San Diego museums participating in Pacific Standard Time are the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and the Mingei Museum. MCASD is featuring light and space artists in the largest exhibit in the museum's history. The Mingei will host a massive exhibit of San Diego artists who worked in furniture, craft, jewelry and sculpture during the 1940s through the 70s.
