Police say they have detained three men in connection to a burglary at a Del Mar elementary school Wednesday.

San Diego police said they were were alerted at 4 a.m. that a break-in occurred at Del Mar Heights Elementary School in the 1300 block of Boquito Drive.

Border Patrol agents later stopped the three men at a Temecula checkpoint and found iPads and a projector from the school.

Investigators are looking into whether this break-in is part of a series of school burglaries around North County in recent weeks.
