Want to own a piece of history and have tens of thousands of dollars to spare? You're in luck! Former Navy SEAL "Mark Owen" is auctioning off the knife he says he used in the Osama bin Laden raid.

If Owen's name sounds familiar, that's because he wrote the book No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden. "Mark Owen" is a pseudonym for Matt Bissonnette. (Don't worry, I'm not outing him. Fox News revealed Bissonnette's true identity back in August 2012.)

According to 24fundraiser.com (the site auctioning the weapon) Owen/Bissonnette has owned the knife for eight years and carried it during the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound in 2011.

Owen/Bissonnette wrote on 24fundraiser.com:

“I'm donating the knife because the owner of Combat Flip Flops is a friend and when he told me about this auction and all the good that the money raised was going to go towards, I wanted to help in anyway that I could. Giving back to our community is very important to me and if donating this knife to charity helps with that process then I'm more than happy to do it!”

At this writing, the current bid is $20,400. The auction ends today at 8 p.m. EDT.
