Governor Schwarzenegger could face a recall election in June. A grassroots petition drive is underway to get the governor out of office.Sacramento Reporter Marianne Russ has details.
A Berkeley Physician still wants to get the Governor out of office the same way he got in - a recall election. Kevin Matsumura launched the drive last year and says he's picked up steam. He says there are 10-thousand volunteers now, and they've launched a new signature-gathering campaign in Southern California:
Kevin: He's already starting to anger many people with his vaccillation, his moving back and forth. People just don't trust him and I think it's a question of character.
He says they've already gathered roughly 200,000 signatures in Northern California and are aiming for the June primary ballot. But he won't rule out the possibility of a July special election. A spokesperson for the Governor's office previously dismissed the recall campaign as irrelevant. Marianne Russ, Sacramento.
