Donna Frye aims to curb city's greenhouse gas emissions
Yesterday, the State of California filed a lawsuit against six automakers, including Ford, Toyota and General Motors. The suit was filed by Attorney General Bill Lockyer. It charges that the greenhouse gases, emitted by the cars, have cost the State of California millions of dollars.
Combating global warming has become a major initiative for official California in more ways than one. In San Diego, city council member Donna Frye wants the city to take a lead in reducing greenhouse gases. And she’s proposed a “Climate Protection Action Play.”
