Yesterday, the San Diego City Council confirmed his appointment to the three- person Executive Committee of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. He comes to the $150,000 a year job after serving 18 months as Governor Schwarzenneger’s Secretary of Education. Before that, he spent seven years as chief of San Diego City Schools, and before that, six years as U.S. Attorney in San Diego.
