Tom Fudge: The San Diego Foundation for Change is not the richest foundation in the city. The most money it's given out in a single year has been $84,000. But this is an organization that sees its role as being different from the foundations that have millions to bestow.
The Foundation for Change just acquired a new executive director, and his name is John Fanestil. John is a writer and a former Methodist pastor. A few months ago he appeared on These Days to talk about his book, called Mrs. Hunter's Happy Death . He joins me now to talk about philanthropy, social action and the San Diego Foundation for Change.
