Maureen Cavanaugh (Guest Host):  Over the past week, KPBS Radio has brought you a special series titled A Matter of Degrees: Climate Change in San Diego .  In the series, KPBS News reporters took a closer look at the evidence and impacts of global warming on our region.  On today's show, we will be playing nine of those features for you.  The features vary in content from how the U.S. and Mexico can work together to reduce green house gases, to the City of San Diego's use of renewable energy, to how local high school students are learning to convert used cooking oil into bio-fuel.  We start off today's show with a feature that focuses on the potential effects of global warming on Southern California.

A big decision awaits some voters this July as the race for San Diego County’s Supervisor District 1 seat heats up. Are you ready to vote? Check out the KPBS Voter Hub to learn about the candidates, the key issues the board is facing and how you can make your voice heard.
