San Diego Police Department Targets Noisy College Area Residents

Alan Ray (Guest Host): Beginning today, San Diego Police have a new weapon in the fight against noise. It's an administrative citation program covering any disturbance in the Mid-City division. Perhaps by coincidence -- perhaps not -- the Mid-City Division has a lot of mini-dorms, which have a history of problems in San Diego.

The program covers any disturbance in the Mid City Division and carries a $1000 fine. The fine can be issued to the responsible parties (tenants or owners) who are causing a disturbance which can be heard 50 feet from the dwelling.
