Californians list immigration and healthcare among some of their top concerns. That's the finding of a recent survey. From Sacramento, Jenny O'Mara reports.

The new poll by the Public Policy Institute of California shows about three-quarters of all residents say U.S. immigration policy needs some major changes. When it comes to health care, three quarters of residents and likely voters say the number of people without insurance is a big problem in the state.

PPIC President Mark Baldassare says residents don't have a lot of faith in policy makers -- at either the federal or the state level -- to fix those problems.

Baldassare : They like what the governor stands for but they believe there are a lot of obstacles to making progress. At the federal level they're not pleased with the direction of the country.

More than 2,000 Californians were interviewed for the survey during the middle of this month.
