San Diego Gasoline Prices Resurge After Months of Decline
The price of gasoline surged back up this week, ending a stretch of 15 weeks of falling prices. The Utility Consumer's Action Network says the average price of a gallon of gas is $2.85.
UCAN 's Charles Langley says the local price on Monday was actually below the national average for the first time in the past decade. He says prices have jumped significantly since then.
Langley : We saw what's shaping up to be major price spike. We've seen prices go up 6.5 cents since Tuesday. And that's pretty huge. 1.5 cents overnight.
On Monday, the average price in California was a half a cent lower than the national average. Rising prices in the Midwest are pushing up the national average.
