Cleveland National Forest Closed to Public

Due to the ongoing wildfire emergency in the region, the Cleveland National Forest will be closed to the public until further notice, officials announced today.

Due to the ongoing wildfire emergency in the region, the Cleveland National Forest will be closed to the public until further notice, officials announced today.

Under the order, unauthorized civilian entry to any of the forest's lands, roads or trails is prohibited, according to a statement issued by the
administrative office.

Violations of the prohibitions are punishable by a maximum fine of $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, imprisonment for up to
six months, or both.
