Crews from Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento today delivered thousands of pounds of disaster response gear to help fire victims.

Crews from Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento today delivered thousands of pounds of disaster response gear to help fire victims.

Beginning at 1 a.m., crews began carrying more than 20,000 pounds of blankets and portable beds to San Diego, as part of a joint mission with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Coast Guard crews will continue to fly these humanitarian mission until the wildfire threat has been resolved, officials said.
