Tom Fudge: Last week, the superintendent of San Diego City Schools left his job. Carl Cohn , who came to San Diego from Long Beach School District, didn't leave town. In fact, he now has a job with San Diego State University. But his fans and supporters in the district were a little miffed that he left his superintendent position two years early. There was about that much time left on his contract.
Cohn left because he said the job was a little more challenging than he expected. Now, the district needs to find a new superintendent . Ana Tintocalis joins us to talk about what the district is doing to look for a new superintendent, and what kind of superintendent the different parties are looking for.
