There are multiple plays about the African-American experience on San Diego stages as well as three dramas written by cutting edge playwrights.

Tom Fudge: Fences make good neighbors, and in the case of August Wilson they also make good theater. Fences is one of the plays showing in San Diego at the moment. It's at Cygnet Theater . And it's one of the shows Anne Marie Welsh joins us now to talk about in our weekend preview.
