Tom Fudge: So long, farewell, it's good to have you visit. That's the song they're singing in Sacramento to Don Perata and Fabian Nunez , the majority leaders, respectively, of the state Senate and the Assembly . There was a chance that Don and Fabian were going to stick around a while longer. That would have been a perk of the passing of Proposition 93 , a term limit reform measure that was in front of voters in the Feb. 5 primary, but 93 got shot down. Many people believe it failed because it would have extended the political careers of current incumbents. It would have limited the careers of future lawmakers.
The hand-wringing that's come from the failure of 93 is one of the things we talk about as we go Inside Sacramento.
