24-Hour Mission to Discover New Species in Balboa Park
Tom Fudge: Let's say you've got 24-hours to identify the entire bio-diversity of San Diego's Balboa Park. You will have that opportunity this Friday and Saturday, as BioBlitz comes to San Diego. BioBlitz is an event being organized by the San Diego Natural History Museum .
On the night of Friday, May 2, while the scientists are in the field collecting until the early morning, families with children ages 6 and up can join the overnight camp-in at the museum , featuring outdoor insect-collecting, owl-spotting on the Prado, arts and crafts, and an early-morning birding hike. The Saturday event is free and registration is not required.
