Locals Find Eclectic Music & Food at County Fair

"Summer of Sports" is the theme for the 2008 San Diego County Fair. We'll find out what's new and what's hot at the fair. And we'll explore the array of music offered at county fairs.

Tom Fudge : The San Diego County Fair began this weekend in Del Mar. It's an annual event that brings tens of thousands of people to the Del Mar Fairgrounds. It's not quite the Minnesota State Fair, but smug Midwesterners should know that the San Diego County Fair is the fifth largest fair in the country. That's lots of people eating lots of corn dogs.

This year the theme of the Fair is "Summer of Sports." During the rest of our program today we'll be in a fair state of mind.
