The Kafka Project is the talk of the town. The media attention we've been getting has been breathtaking. In all, I have been interviewed for Lidove Noviny and Mlada Fronta , the two largest daily newspapers, two radio stations, and two literary magazines, A2 and Respekt, and one more interview is scheduled for later today. Tonight at 7:30 p.m., at the Museum of Charles Bridge , I'm giving a talk about Dora Diamant's life after Kafka's death in 1924, and about the Kafka Project's efforts to discover Kafka's missing literary treasure.
I've been so occupied that I haven't written the update on the Magical Mystery Literary History Tour -the Dora Group, as they have dubbed themselves. But all is not lost. Byron is here.

Great--pictures are fine. Both newspapers were nice--but I'd like to see an edition with the stories--I probably wouldn't exactly understand them-but I think it would be fun to see Kafka's picture in a Czech newspaper. Were you at the cathedral in time to see St. Vitus dance? %-P

After all these years, do you think maybe it should be Whopper Senior?

This is great fun reading along! Well written Byron! Having the picture links add that extra element that really helps us experience this along with you all. It would be fun to see pictures of the group as well. : )

The tour aspects are interesting and I enjoy following.
However, there is an error in the Kafka biography. He stayed in Ottilie's house on Alchemist Lane the winter of 1916 - 1917, and not 1918 -1919 as stated in the description.

Regarding Dale Estey's comment--Hi Dale: you may indeed be right, probably are, I still haven't looked it up. When I made that notation, I wondered if it were correct, don't have my books with me, but you answered my question. I still haven't looked it up--we are moving very quickly and I haven't even checked via Wipipedia--but I do take your word for it. Thanks so much for following along!

Hi, Kathi:
You're more than welcome. I have a third of my novel about Kafka set in that small house, so am very familiar with his time there.
I didn't know Felice's house was still in Berlin. I hope to get to see it, too. Felice was a pivotal portion of Kafka's life.
It was interesting to follow along with you and the crew. I'll keep looking to you for further Kafka revelations. No pressure implied.
