Linguist Dishes Up Political Slang

Tom Fudge : It's a Presidential election year, and that means we're spending more time than usual thinking and talking about politics. The political game is like any other occupation or avocation in that it generates it's own slang and lingo. UNLIKE other professions, however, politics has its slang broadcast around the country, thanks to the army of press that hangs on to every word. Of course, sometimes it's the press that creates the slang.
