Tom Fudge : Americans eat a lot of beef. In a way, it's become our celebratory food. If you're having some friends over for dinner, and you want to impress them, you might make some steaks.
There is a fine art to preparing beef. And these day people are thinking a lot more about the health effects of eating beef and environmental effects of beef productions. The question of animal welfare also comes up. This has lead to a growing popularity of grass-fed beef. But does grass-fed taste as good as corn fed? Some people think it tastes better. But we'll get into that a little bit later.
During this hour we're going to focus on food, from the joy of eating well to the hard facts of health and agricultural production.
