Maureen Cavanaugh: According to their My Space page, the two members of the band The Bird and the Bee, "met a few years ago. Discovered a common love of jazz standards. Nerded out for a couple of hours playing every song they knew and then wrote and recorded a record together." If only everything were so easy.

But that's one of the delights of the music created by Inara George and Greg Kurstin. Despite a multi-layered production and clever lyrics, these songs sound effortless. The Bird and the Bee have just released their second CD called " Ray Guns are not Just the Future."
