CityBeat's Local Music Issue on Newsstands Now
Maureen Cavanaugh: We all know we're in an economic recession, and times are tough all over, except when it comes to artistic creativity. History tells us that times of political or economic turmoil are usually great for art.
And that's just what the publishers of San Diego
CityBeat
found when the put out the call for CD submissions for their 6th annual local music issue. So, maybe all the music wasn't terrific, but there was a lot of it. And, they say some of it was very good. The
CityBeat
local music issue is on newstands now. There will also be a
CityBeat
sponsored show at the Casbah this Saturday, March 7th.
Guests:
- David Rolland is the editor of San Diego CityBeat .
- Seth Combs is the music features and arts and culture editor at San Diego CityBeat .
