San Diego Weekend: The Port, Civil War Reenactments in Vista, and a Large Catnap

I broke some of my self-imposed rules on this San Diego Weekend. I usually don't post portraits of families, but the last photograph in this post, called Generation Gap, made me smile and reflect.  I love the no-nonsense stance of the grandmother and the sweet faces of her two grandchildren.  Thanks to Scott of Scott's Foto Cafe for sharing such a personal image.  As I mentioned in earlier posts, I also try to steer clear of zoo images.  However, the napping lion from the Wild Animal Park is fun, in large part because of its title "Send More Tourists."  I guess this lion likes a good nap after a big meal of camera-clad tourists.  There were a lot of images to choose from this weekend, so kudos to all you San Diego photogs!
