Home Post Blog: Lt. Gen. Thomas Waldhauser of Camp Pendleton has been tapped to head up the investigation into the controversial video that showed Marines urinating on Taliban corpses.
The Los Angeles Times reports Waldhauser, commanding general of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command, is also the convening authority in the court martial of Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich, who’s accused of committing war crimes in Iraq.
The Marine Corps investigation is separate from the Navy’s investigation. (Read more)
