KPBS asked all of the candidates running for San Diego City Council District 5 the same five questions.

They provided a "yes" or a "no" answer and then a short explanation, which can be viewed by clicking on the boxes in the grid below.

District 5 includes Black Mountain Ranch, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Peñasquitos, Sabre Springs, San Pasqual, Scripps Ranch and Torrey Highlands. Councilman Mark Kersey is the incumbent.
