A minor earthquake struck Thursday morning in a rural area of San Diego County east of Julian.
The magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck about 1 a.m. and had a depth of about 3 miles, according to a computer-generated report from the U.S. Geological Survey.
It occurred about 23 miles east of Julian and about 24 miles northeast of Alpine, the report said.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
