A small earthquake struck near the mountain town of Julian early Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The magnitude 2.8 quake struck around 6:35 a.m. about 5 miles east, northeast of Julian at a depth of 4.8 miles, according to the USGS.
Light shaking was reported around Julian and the Santa Ysabel Reservation, according to the USGS Did You Feel It? map.
No injuries or damages were reported.
A string of small to medium-sized earthquakes was recorded earlier this month off San Clemente Island. No injuries or damages were reported in those quakes.
