Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway in Bride Wars (20th Century Fox)

Bride Wars (opened January 9 throughout San Diego) is about these best friends, Emma (Anne Hathaway)and Liv (Kate Hudson), that get engaged at the same time and both want the perfect wedding. They claim that the best wedding will be in June at the Plaza and unfortunately they are booked on the same day. Now they are competing for the best wedding. They do everything to try and destroy each other's wedding. As soon as one finds her heart and realizes what she's doing is stupid, the other would retaliate and piss the first off again. It just keeps bouncing back and forth. One dyes the others hair blue while the other screws up a spray tan, and so on and so forth. It finally comes down to the day of the wedding and they are about to forgive one another but then...
Bride Wars (rated PG for suggestive content, language and some rude behavior) was outstanding. I was laughing most of the time. I couldn't believe what these women were capable of doing to their so called best friend. I feel that this movie was actually very funny and I think most people should see it. Keep in mind it is definitely a chick flick and most guys will likely dislike the movie because it isn't action-packed, and it has more to do with females and their problems than anything else. This film is a good for film for a mother/daughter outing or a girl's day out. It was funny and definitely showed the drama that can arise when tensions between two friends occur.
