About 200-thousand students headed back to class in Baja California. Some 600-thousand more will go begin Monday. That's when elementary and junior high schools open their doors again.

Baja California health and education officials are warning students to stay home if they have any flu symptoms. Oscar Vega is the Secretary of Education. He says teachers and parents will screen students as they arrive. "Making sure there are no visibly ill students coming to school. Recommending those who show up like that to go to the health services and to stay home until they are ok to come to school again."

Teachers, parents and some students scoured schools around Tijuana with soap and bleach earlier this week. Vega hopes more parents will come out this weekend to clean elementaries and junior highs.
