A bipartisan group of immigration activists and union officials hopes President Barack Obama and House and Senate leaders commit to reforming the country's immigration system this year. As KPBS Reporter Amy Isackson tells us, the President plans to meet with members of Congress Thursday.

The group of activists and labor leaders want the President and members of Congress to come out of Thursday's meeting with a road map for immigration reform.

Frank Sharry directs America's Voice. His group advocates for a system to allow workers to enter the country legally and for the approximately 12 million undocumented immigrants already in the country to earn legal status. Sharry wants leaders to say let's get it done.

President Obama last week repeated his commitment to push immigration reform through Congress. Though, he has not provided a timeline.
