Fair weather will give way to widespread rain in San Diego County later this week, meteorologists said.
The shift in the weather should begin as soon as late Wednesday into early Thursday, when a weak trough of low pressure will bring gusty winds and a small chance of light precipitation over and west of the mountains, according to the National Weather Service.
By Friday night through Saturday, a stronger Pacific low pressure system will bring strong winds and widespread moderate to locally heavy precipitation throughout the county, the agency said.
