Alex Trebek holds the award for outstanding game show host, for his work on "Jeopardy!" backstage at the 33rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, Friday, April 28, 2006.

‘Jeopardy!’ host Alex Trebek is back at work, less than a week after he announced he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

He thanked his supporters on Twitter Thursday.

"I am thankful for the kind words, the prayers and the advice you have offered, and I am extremely touched by the warmth you have expressed in your comments to me," Trebek said in a video posted on the Jeopardy! Twitter account. "I'm a lucky guy."
