President Bush meets with British Prime Minister Tony Blair today at the White House to discuss the Iraq Study Group report.
Blair said that he welcomed the group's report -- despite its depiction of a failed policy that he and Bush had embraced -- but he made no commitments to the group's recommendations.
"It offers a strong way forward. I think it is important now we concentrate on the elements that are necessary to make sure that we succeed -- because the consequences of failure are severe," Blair said.
"It's bad in Iraq," Mr. Bush acknowledged, saying he'll wait for reviews from the Pentagon and the State Department before he makes final decisions on how to proceed.
