In 1965, when Robert Konrardy was wounded in Vietnam, he had to abandon his platoon from the First Cavalry Division.
Decades later, he began to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and entered intensive therapy. As part of his journey, Konrardy embarked on a personal mission to visit the new generation that makes up his platoon.He went to Iraq to complete his mission.
Konrardy speaks with Debbie Elliott about his trip.
