Afghanistan's Opium Wars

New Yorker writer Jon Lee Anderson discusses his recent experience in Afghanistan, where he learned about the challenges facing the U.S. as it mounts its campaign to eradicate opium poppies. Anderson was with U.S contractors and Afghan police on a mission to destroy fields when the group was ambushed.
