U.S. Aims to Jump Start Middle East Negotiations

Syria announced Sunday that it will send a representative to the Middle East peace conference that the Bush administration is convening this week in Annapolis, Md. The conference is aimed at starting negotiations that would lead to the creation of a viable Palestinian state.
